DOG EAT DOG
The Senate objected to a House-approved bill allowing Greyhound races
in Mandaue City. Senators said they will block any effort to have the
measure approved.
Dog eat dog.
oOo
Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. was accused of holding “secret” public
hearings on the bill, inviting only those who would be benefited by
it. The senator said he sees nothing wrong with the measure which he
will sponsor in plenary this week.
Expect people to raise a howl.
oOo
Sen. Jamby Madrigal, one of the measure’s oppositors, even had the
luxury of showing off her pet greyhound to stress her position.
She’s not an attack dog, afterall. Right, Sen. Villar?
oOo
Sen. Loren Legarda and party-list Rep. Risa Hontiveros caught people’s
attention when they attended last Monday’s Sona donned in backless
gowns.
These feisty ladies have BACKBONES indeed.
oOo
Sen. Mar Roxas, ever the KSP (kulang sa pansin) he is, directed
traffic along Commonwealth Avenue during SONA. It was another photo
opportunity for the presidential wannabe.
And I thought he was among the eight men mauled by angry protesters on
suspicion of being government “spies.”
oOo
For “saying bad words” in public, Roxas did not escape the president’s
“aggression” during SONA.
What could be worse than Roxas’ “LALABAN TAYO!”
OOo
The Philippine National Police intensified its campaign against lose
firearms. Already, hundreds of illegal guns were turned over by the
Central Luzon police office. Officials claimed the guns were owned by
private armed groups.
Policemen by day, private army by night.
OOo
Folk legend Freddie Aguilar sneered at world-renowned artists Arnel
Pineda and Charice Pempengco for acting like “monkeys” who mimic
foreign artists.
Some Pinoys are really a rare breed. Their existence disproves Charles
Darwin’s theory.
Instead of apes, they evolved from CRABS.
oOo
Reports have it that actresses Katrina Halili and Maricar Reyes might
co-star in a movie.
The title: HAYDenSICK.
